Hirsi Ali leaving the country
Well, she's going on vacation. Sort of. Having received death threats for her remarks about Islam and women, she's now has a private company protecting. Apparently the vacation has been planned for a long time, but they're keeping the details about her plans and security arrangement secret. A strange twist is that nobody's been able to contact her father, who received some of the death threats. Nobody's answering the phone there, but there is no indication of where he lives. Meanwhile, there does not appear to be any progress on tracing the islamist zealots who are sending the threats. Comments
I have not found this on any English-language URL, but it's been in all the Dutch media. Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who got her start with the Wiardi Beckman Stichting, a foundation sponsored by the Labor Party (Partij van de Arbeid), has abandoned the left and joined the Dutch Republicans - what's called the VVD, basically the pro-business party. They are also called the liberals, not in the current American leftist sense but in the sense of being free-trade, anti-regulation politicians. AND, the VVD is putting her up for election. Apparently one of the problems with the Labor Party has been its unwavering support for unrestricted immigration even at a time when the negative effects were becoming obvious... multiculturalism is one of the left's religions. Ayaan did not read fully the benefit of Multicultural society in Netherland when she was given her Essay by than former ruling party in Netherland. She accused her Employer by creating multicultural society because it allowed imaams "Clerics" to preach hatered comments against Westeren Society.
What she said on her Essay's conclusion was outrageous and it was insult to criticise multiculturalism when she got a chance to have a free housing, state welfare, Free education for the last 10 years. She blamed all muslims are abusing the system but it is her/her followers who are bending the system into their own benefit.
